The idea of getting Lydia to do anything she didn't want to do really had not occurred to him. But his methods were never so subtle as coaxing things out of her like that.
His fingers caressed up and down her arm for a few moments as he watched her face. The faintest of smiles spread over his lips as she asked. In response, his hand moved up her arm, to gently take her hand. He pressed a soft kiss to her knuckles. "You're already doing it."
She makes a soft noises of contentment in the back of her throat. "Good." she says with a sleepy smile, "Because if you'd said 'get up and make me a sandwich' I'd have been so cranky." With a low chuckle she lifts her head, pressing a kiss to the corner of his mouth. It might have been meant for his mouth full on, but hey, her lashes are only at half-mast.
His hand leaves hers as she leans closer, the hand instead moving to cradle the back of her neck. "Now that you mention it..." he said with a faint laugh. Completely joking. He shifted just enough to plant the softest kiss full on her lips.
Her mouth quirks against his, but it doesn't stay that way for long when he kisses her. She's not sure if she has morning breath or not, but at the moment she doesn't care. Instead she settles a hand on his chest to press him back on the bed so she can re-position herself: right over his heartbeat makes an acceptable pillow.
"Werewolves," she can't help but note scientifically as she makes sleeping arrangements to her liking, "Are delightfully warm."
He moves easily with her hand, settling back down onto the bed, now on his back. His arm settles over her, almost protectively. With her there against him it felt, if just for a moment, nothing terrible had ever happened. That everything was currently, had always been, would always be alright.
"Certainly better than being excessively hairy," he said with a small smile. He moved his hand, fingers gently gliding over her skin.
"You can't prove anything." If she could see his face, she would see the obviously fake offense he took at her implications. "There is one thing I'll never understand, though." His tone dipped, sounding like he might be about to ask something actually serious. "When I go full wolf-face, where do my eyebrows go?"
She lets out a laugh, no doubt as he intended. "I have no idea. There's very little about your condition that science has any explanation for." Slyly, "I assure you though, they're exquisite eyebrows."
His hand was shifting lower and lower with every few passes, inching toward her hip and lower back. "I'd hope so. I put too much work into them for them to not be." There was a false sort of smugness in his voice, but an almost proud smile on his face.
"You're so vain." she teases, rolling her head slightly so she can press a kiss to his chest before letting it fall back again so one more her cheek is just below his heart. The sound of it beating is comforting.
"And your work is...getting your eyebrows waxed?" Lydia teases, letting her fingers finish the periodic table so she can trace a line up his chin, over his mouth and toward the bridge of his nose, between the aforementioned beautiful eyebrows. And beautiful everything.
"Among other things," he said softly. He tipped his chin up, gently kissing her palm and wrist as her hand passed over his face. "You can only leave so much to genetics."
A soft sound of pleasure escaped at the feel of her lips on his neck, his chin tilting slightly to invite it further. He'd been about to make a comment, implying where such a kiss could lead. But her following words derailed that completely. She might have even heard the skipped beat of his heart. Instead of saying anything in return, he shifted. His fingers gently guiding her chin so he could tilt his own head, planting a tender kiss on her lips.
