"Whichever you need," he answers with more honesty than she might've expected.

He sighs, watching her then hesitantly reaches out to slip his hand in her hair, pulling it back just far enough that he can see her, leaning in so that his shoulder presses against hers.

"Yeah, but it's relatively harmless. I mean, we can stay out here the rest of the night and probably no one is going to notice, or, if you want, I run in there and yell that the cops are coming, get everyone cleared out."

Is it unexpected when she tilts her head to the side and lets it rest against his shoulder? "Someone should be having fun. As long as they don't trash the place."

It seems option a is preferred, as she's surprised to find she doesn't want to be alone, but not part of the crowd, either.

A little, but he also likes it. A lot. He takes a deep breath, turning his head and hesitating before he finally presses the lightest of kisses against the top of her head.

"We'll stress that. The not trashing the place. I don't know. They seemed to be doing pretty good so far."

And there's no where else in Beacon Hills he'd rather be right now.

"So far." she agrees. For a moment it doesn't seem like she's going to acknowledge the kiss on the top of her head, much as she doesn't seem inclined t acknowledge a lot of the more intimate moments they've shared. But then...

"Isn't Malia in there?" It's pretty obvious, how the coyote girl feels about him.

Stiles quirks one eyebrow up at the acknowledgement. He's accustomed to such things going ignored by Lydia. This is new and he's not sure what it means exactly.

"Uhm...yeah. I--I think she's owning everyone at beer pong."

To be truthful, yes, Stiles is dating Malia and he knows how she feels about him, but he's loved Lydia for a decade. If he suddenly showed up on Lydia's radar, he'd have to find a way to let Malia down as gently as possible.

She can't help but smile faintly. "Sounds like Malia."

She's not sure how she'd feel about Stiles letting Malia go for her, but it's also not something she's thinking about too hard right now. Instead she lets her head continue to rest on Stiles' shoulder.

"You know it took me a month to not think about Allison without tearing up?" she murmurs. "I hope it isn't so bad for Scott. He's so into Kira, and she's being so patient."

Stiles chuckles a little and nods in agreement.

She shouldn't think too hard about it right now. He isn't. This is just Lydia and it's the way things are between them. They're friends, and Stiles is okay with that. He will take Lydia in his life any way he can get her. He leans his head against hers after a moment.

"I keep thinking she's going to come show us all up in PE." He takes a deep breath. "I think most of the time, Scott is okay."
